The scope of work varies from project to project and is based on several factors (factors mentioned in one of our blogs section). DECON being the EPC contractor is generally responsible for managing all aspects of the project including but not limited to:
- Engineering: Development of civil and electrical design including detailed plans & drawings. Selection, review and approval of specifications and other documents necessary for the procurement and construction of the substation.
- Procurement: Sourcing and procurement of all equipment, materials, and services required for the construction of the substation.
- Construction: Civil works for switchyard, control house building, trenches and allied works, erection and installation of substation structures, electrical equipment, cable laying etc.
- Testing and Commissioning: Testing and commissioning of all equipment and systems to ensure that the substation is ready for operation.
- Documentation: Preparation of as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, and other documentation necessary for the operation and maintenance of the substation.
- Training: Training of the client’s personnel in the operation and maintenance of the substation.
- Warranty and Maintenance: Warranty and maintenance services for a specified period following the commissioning of the substation.
